Sensor Use and Placement
The Guardian Sensor 3 includes five single-use sensors per box. Insert the sensor using the provided inserter and place it on a recommended site, such as the abdomen or back of the arm. Rotate sites regularly to minimize skin irritation. For added adhesion, pair with Skin Tac Adhesive Wipes. After insertion, attach the charged transmitter—when the green light appears, the sensor is ready. Keep strong wireless devices like phones or GPS systems away from the transmitter to prevent signal interference.

The Guardian Sensor 3 is intended for use with the Medtronic MiniMed 630G, MiniMed 670G, MiniMed 700G, and Guardian Connect systems. It continuously monitors glucose levels in persons with diabetes. It is intended to detect trends and track patterns in individuals aged 14 years and older. With the MiniMed 670G system, it can automatically adjust basal insulin levels. This sensor is indicated as an adjunctive device and does not replace standard blood glucose meters. It is single-use, prescription-only, and indicated for 7 days of wear.
