Freedom Lite Intended Use

Freestyle Freedom Meter is intended for use in the measurement of glucose in capillary whole blood. This can be sampled from the forearm, upper arm, calf, thigh, fingers and hand, and venous whole blood. This product is designed for self-testing and use by healthcare professionals for individuals with diabetes mellitus. The device can be used at home as an aid in monitoring the effectiveness of a diabetes control program. Freestyle Freedom Lite Meter is not intended for the diagnosis of or screening for diabetes mellitus, and is not intended for use on neonates or arterial blood. Test on the fingers if testing for low blood glucose (hypoglycemia) or if the individual suffers from hypoglycemia unawareness.
