The Puritan 6 Inch Swab offers what you are looking for in a standard swab DNA collector as well as few extra features that you may not have known could come in handy. To first mention, the swab is provided sterile just as they all should be, but the swabs are not grouped together in one bag - instead, each sterile swab is packaged in their own packaging to reduce cross-contamination on a larger scale. This benefit is much safer for your supplies and cost if something were to spill in the bag, or the bag was dropped and the swabs were to come out - it would contaminate all of the swabs rendering them unfit for use. This is not the case with the individually packaged Puritan swabs.
The swab stick has a point within the handle that breaks away from the foam tip. This helps cut down collection cost and works best for collecting samples on a much larger scale.
