Convatec Flexi-Seal Protect Fecal Management System

The Convatec Flexi-Seal Protect FMS is designed to collect stool for individuals with fecal incontinence or non-ambulatory patients with loose stool. This offers safe and effective fecal collection by inserting a retention balloon into the rectum. Convatec makes its simple and easy to apply using a protective blue finger pocket to guide the lubricated tip into the rectum. Once inserted the balloon is inflated to prevent the blue port from slipping out. The port minimizes the risk of fecal exposure and is prevents from over inflation. The contents of the collection bag are only visible through a small window to add privacy but still allow the caregiver monitor volume.

Another important feature of the Convatec 411108 Flexi-Seal Bowel Management System is the APS Filter that offers odor protection down the full length of the catheter. This has been shown to be six times more effective in odor protection compared to charcoal filters. This filter style also eliminates the need to manually release gas buildup.

The Flexi-Seal Protect FMS Collection Bag can be purchased as a single bag or in a box of 10. It's also recommended to apply Sensi-Care Clear Zinc before and during the use of Flexi-Seal Protect FMS to protect against skin irritation and seal out wetness.
