The B Braun Medication Transfer Filter Straw helps with the aspiration of fluid. The filter straws provide a way to remove liquid from ampules without contamination due to being completely sterile. To ensure the sterility of each filter straw, they are designed to be disposable and used only once. They are flexible in order to work through curved pathway if needed as well. They come in two different varieties, the B Braun 415021 Micron Filter with 1 3/4 in Flexible Straw or B Braun 415020 Micron Filter with 4 in Flexible Straw.
As an IV Supply, it is latex free and BPA free so it is able to be used with patients with these allergies. It does however, contain DEHP and PVC. Braun's Filter Straw is able to filter five microns. They have an extended shelf life and maintain sterility for up to sixty months.
