Enfamil Iron Fortified Formula is a formula created for premature infants or that have a low birth weight and need key vitamins and minerals to grow and develop quickly and properly. The milk-based baby formula provides infants with 3.6 grams of protein in every hundred calories. The formula imitates breast milk nutritional values with eighty to twenty whey to casein ratio as well as the balance of fatty acids and triglycerides. This balance is effective for up to twelve ounces each day. Beyond that amount, some vitamins and minerals may be excessive. To ensure best results, be sure to use only as directed by a medical professional for the specific needs of the child.
Iron Fortified Enfamil Preemie & LBW Infant Solution is approved for both kosher and halal diets, but does contain both lactose and soy and should not be used with infants who may have these sensitivities. The blend of carbohydrates has both corn syrup solids as well as lactose in order to prevent an overload on the ability to digest lactose. The blend supports proper body development, including bone, brain and eye growth.
The mixture comes in a nursette bottle that is ready to use. Simply shake the bottle and attach a bottle nipple to the top. This is not included with purchase. However, Enfamil does make a Slow Flow Soft Nipple that can attach easily and is perfect for use on the go.
