TrueFlow Technology
TrueFlow Technology lacks analog components like turbines and bodyplethysmographs, which effectively eliminates flow measurement problems associated with analog instruments. It is the only technology proven to not require calibration throughout its lifetime. The basic measurement principle of this revolutionary technology uses ultrasound signals sent diagonally across the flow path; the signal that goes with the flow is accelerated, while the signal going against the flow is decelerated. The difference between the two transit times represents the speed of the flow, and environmental factors cancel each other out in the process. The flow tube and spirette, manufactured under high, strict quality control standards, are critical to the system, as they define the surface area of the flow. Customers can leverage their on-premise SQL servers or MS Azure environments to ensure data accessibility and consistency.
Do I need to calibrate the Easy On-PC Spirometer?
No. All EasyOne products are designed to not require calibration. ndd’s patented TrueFlow technology is the only technology proven to remain stable over its lifetime. A number of independent papers have been published that confirm this long-term stability.
For organizations like NIOSH/OSHA or Social Security/Disability, where calibration checks are required, ndd offers a 3-Liter calibration syringe. A calibration check (cal-check) is not to be confused with calibration. A cal-check simply validates that the device is within calibration limits. Unlike calibration, a cal-check does not adjust the calibration values.
Can I connect the spirometer to my EMR system?
Yes, ndd’s products are all completely HL7 compatible through EasyOne Connect, the free companion PC software, enabling connectivity to virtually all EMRs.
