Works when nothing else will
I have fairly severe lymphedema in both legs. If I ever get a penetrating wound there, they will not heal because of the river of fluid a break in the skin releases. Since there are no red blood cells in lymphatic fluid, they do not scab over as with bleeding wounds. Hydrocolloid bandages were an important discovery for me since they help seal the wound to allow it to heal from the inside. This particular brand are very useful because of their size. For a hydrocolloid to work properly, you must be able to achieve a good SEAL around the wound so the bandage can absorb the fluid and swell, creating a pressure bandage. Having large bandages available gives you more flexibility for treating large or multiple small wounds close together. These bandages are fabulous.

My wounds are bacteria-free.
Sometime last year, I crashed my motorcycle and got big wound on my legs and arms. They look like burns which secrete liquid. This dressing helped me recover fast. Kept all my wounds covered while also making sure that it collects the secretion so that it won't accumulate bacteria.
