The Dover Silver Coated Foley Catheters is coated in silicone is an antimicrobial resistant, this helps reduce urinary tract infections which is the most common infection when using a catheter, even when being careful in applying a catheter there is always a risk of infections.

The Dover Silver Foley Catheters is provided sterile for the prevention of bacteria through the use of a sanitized catheter to also aid in preventing infections as the catheters will be entering sensitive areas that can be contaminated easily, so it is of most importance to be careful when using a catheter, making sure you are free of contaminants such as bacteria by using a cleansing soap such as the Antimicrobial Gel Soap by McKesson and cleaning the entryway with a wipe like the Hygea Multipurpose Washcloths.

The Dover 2-way Silver Silicone Foley Catheters includes an integrated balloon that can be used to secure the catheter in place once it is attached by the balloon integrated close to the end of the catheter. The balloon has the ability to expand, you can choose from a 5-milliliters or 30-milliliters balloon for the best fit. The 2-way design of the catheter allows for the separation of the valves, this ensures the balloon will get inflated and not interfere with the functionality of the catheter port; allowing for a free flow of urine to the container collecting.
