1. Anterior Thigh Anchor. The first point of leverage acts as a point of rotation for the femur anteriorly. It anchors the femur with a cuff that is placed on the anterior thigh.
2. Lower Thigh Strap. The second point of leverage is designed to act as a point of rotation for the tibia posteriorly. This anchors the tibia with a cuff that is placed at the posterior or the bottom of a calf. 
3. Anterior Tibia Strap. The third point of leverage is designed to push the femur anteriorly. It's applied by placing the hinge bars on the knee. The femur is pushed to the anterior using a strap that is placed on the posterior thigh. This causes the hinges to push back on the knee.
4. Posterior Tibia Anchor. The last point of leverage is one of the most important parts of the brace. The anterior tibia strap applies an active constant load, which prevents anterior tibial translation. It brings the FourcePoint hinges back to midline using a strap that's placed on the anterior tibia, which creates a posterior load to reduce strain on the ACL.

Are the liners, straps, and pads machine washable? 
No. All three of those components need to be hand washed with cold water and mild detergent.
