Derma Sciences DuSoft 84916 Drain Sponges are tracheostomy and tube sponges that are 4 x 4 inches with a split fenestration to absorb fluids. The dual-blended materials and added fenestration make it the perfect sponge for dressing a tracheostomy tube or any similar tube. The six-ply design allows for better absorption of fluids. It is also low linting and won't stick to the skin's surface, allowing users to use tape or temporarily leave the sponge on the site. The sponges are made using a Poly-Rayon Blend, are white for easier monitoring, and are square-shaped to maximize closure on all sides of the wound.
To avoid allergic reactions, the drain sponges are not made with latex of any kind. The gauze is packed in pairs for more coverage and sterility.
