Deltec Gripper Plus Safety Needles are portal access devices designed for safe and reliable IV therapy. Manufactured by ICU Medical, these needles feature a locking safety arm that keeps hands behind the needle during activation, reducing accidental stick injuries. They are commonly used in hospitals, oncology clinics, and home infusion settings where repeated vascular access is required.
Each sterile, single-use needle has a contour grip hub for easier handling, a split septum Y-site port for medication administration, and non-DEHP tubing to minimize patient exposure. The MR Conditional design (up to 3 Tesla) allows use in environments where MRI access is necessary. By combining a stainless steel needle, plastic safety hub, and needle safety shield, these devices promote secure access while maintaining patient and provider safety.
