These dressing pads are designed with dialkylcarbamoylchloride (DACC) to inactivate and bind bacteria instead of just killing it. By binding the bacteria, the cell wall remains intact which helps the wound heal more naturally. It even helps in the long term prevention of infections to the wound site. Also, when the dressing is changed the bacteria is removed with it. This further optimizes the conditions in the wound bed for more natural healing by reducing the bacterial load.
