The Curos Disinfecting Cap for Needleless Connectors by 3M disinfects I.V. ports in just one minute. If left on the port, the cap will protect it for up to seven days. The cap is quick and convenient to apply and stays securely in place. The bright, green color helps healthcare professionals to verify and measure compliance. The Curos Disinfecting Cap protects against six microorganisms associated with CLABSI: Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis, Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Candida glabrata, and Candida albicans. It is also compliant with the 2016 Infusion Therapy Standards of Practice. The caps connect to most commonly used needleless connectors, are latex-free, and contains 70 percent Isopropyl Alcohol. This product is available in caps or strips. The caps are designed to hang from and I.V. poles reduce waste. The strips use a hanger located on both ends that can be cut.
