Coloplast Assura Irrigation Set is a sigmoid colostomy irrigation kit. The Assura Irrigation Set enables regular, controlled bowel movement. The water bag features an integrated thermometer which indicates with a 'green light' once the water reaches the proper temperature. A paddle wheel accompanies the regulator to grant the user visual assurance that water is entering the colon. Coloplast Irrigation Set (Coloplast 1500), Hospital Irrigation Set (Coloplast 1500H), Assura Irrigation Set (Coloplast 12830) includes one water bag, one stoma cone, two irrigation sleeves, one irrigation faceplate for one-piece and two-piece appliances.
It's recommended that after irrigation the stoma be capped with either an Assura Minicap, or connected to a SenSura or Assura closed pouch. Irrigation should only be self-administered after being fully instructed by a doctor or nurse.
