The Cardinal Health 2346 Curity 3 x 3 Non-Sterile Woven Sponge Gauze is a versatile dressing with multiple uses. It can pack wounds or abrasions and cover areas with infused solutions for proper healing. Made of cotton, the gauze is low in synthetic material to reduce possible allergic reactions in sensitive patients.
The Cardinal Health Curity 3 x 3 Cotton Gauze Sponge with Woven Design has 12 plies for maximum absorbency. The gauze is a standard size and can be easily wrapped and kept in place with a bandage wrap. When replacing the gauze, treat the damaged area with a cleansing solution such as the Wound Wash Simply Saline. Once the wound is clean, new gauze can be applied.
The square shape of the gauze is typically used for treatments. Although it can be cut and adjusted for a better fit, this is not recommended as it may leave small fibers lodged within the wound. Provided non-sterile, these gauzes are not for surgical procedures but rather for treatments that can be administered with a quick visit to the hospital or doctor's office.
