Manufacturer Description:
Calcium Alginate Wound Dressing with Antibacterial Silver combines the benefits of calcium alginate, derived from seaweed, with the antimicrobial properties of silver. These dressings are highly absorbent, capable of managing moderate to heavy wound exudate, while also providing a moist environment conducive to healing. The silver component releases silver ions, which have broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity, effectively combating bacterial growth within the wound. This helps to reduce the risk of infection and promote a healthy healing process. Additionally, calcium alginate dressings with antibacterial silver conform easily to the wound bed, promoting wound bed coverage and ensuring maximum contact with the affected area
Indications:
Management of moderate to heavily exuding partial to full thickness wounds, including postoperative wounds, trauma wounds, leg ulcers, pressure ulcers, diabetic ulcers, graft and donor sites.
