Cutimed Sorbact Overview
Cutimed Sorbact Swab is a flat, folded wound dressing designed to help wounds naturally heal. Like other Sorbact products from BSN, the Swab uses DACC technology to inactivate and bind bacteria instead of killing it. When the dressing is changed, the bacteria is removed with it, reducing the bacterial load in the wound and creating an optimal environment for healing. DACC technology does not use chemical agents. Instead, it uses hydrophobic interactions, a physical property, to get the bacteria to bind together and to the dressing.
