Patients receive additional relief with fewer dressing changes needed because of its long wearing time. It can remain in place for four to seven days. Extended wearing is due to the dressing's core, made with a combination of cellulose fibers and gel-forming polymers. This technology allows the dressing to quickly absorb exudate and bacteria and lock it in. The gel formed creates a moist wound environment needed for faster healing. The outer layer is hypoallergenic and very durable to ensure the dressing doesn't leak and reintroduce bacteria to the wound.
