     Waterproof Bed Pads

Waterproof Bed Pads are used to protect mattresses from urine and other wet accidents. The underpads serve as an excellent mattress protection device while transitioning and training small children to get up to go to the bathroom at night.      Remote Sound Unit

Malem Remote Sound Unit alerts parents or caregivers when the Bed Side Alarm sounds. This remote alarm allows parents in another room hear the alarm, allowing them to monitor the child’s response to the Bed Side Alarm. The lack of response on the part of the child can be corrected by parental or caregiver intervention. A new alarm tone or other alarm setting may be necessary to stimulate the proper response. The Remote Alarm Sound Unit attaches to the child’s Bed Side Alarm and to the Malem Remote Alarm Unit in the parent’s room or caregiver/nurse station.

Malem Bed-Side Alarm has two accessory ports - one for a remote sound unit and one for a vibrating device. You can place this remote sound unit up to 50 feet away and be alerted at the same time the bed-side alarm sounds. The remote alarm and cord can be easily cleaned with a damp cloth.

     Vibrating Alarm Unit

Malem Vibrating Alarm Unitis an accessory for the Malem Bed Side Alarm. The Vibrating Unit plugs into one of the accessory ports on the Bed Side Alarm. The vibrating alarm can be placed under the child’s pillow and affixed to the sheet or pillow casing with a built-in safety pin located on the back of the vibrating alarm unit

Malem Vibrating Alarm is useful for children who do not respond well to sound alerts and for children who are deaf. The vibrating alarm works only with the Bed Side Alarm. The alarm unit and cord are easily cleaned with a damp cloth.

     Malem Motion Sensor

The Motion Sensor or Sit-Up Sensor is used in a homecare setting to monitor family members suffering from dementia, sleep walking, wandering, fall management or any other condition that warrants close observation. This sensor is also useful in facility care for patients at-risk. This sensor utilizes a motion sensor to detect when the patient is moving and sounds an alarm to notify caregivers or family members. The Motion Sensor plug in directly to a Malem alarm device. The plug is a modular plug-in, similar to a telephone connector. This motion sensor works with all Malem Alarms except for the Wireless Bedwetting Alarm. The photo to the right shows the Motion Sensor (blue colored sensor) attached to the Malem ULTIMATE Alarm (purple colored alarm case). The Malem ULTIMATE Alarm is sold separately.
