BD Cathena Safety IV Catheters With BD Multiguard Technology are designed to deliver safe, reliable peripheral IV access across a range of patient needs. These catheters feature BD Instaflash needle technology, which offers immediate flashback visualization to confirm vessel entry, improving first-stick success rates.
The BD Multiguard blood control system reduces blood exposure during insertion, while the integrated safety shield protects clinicians from accidental needlestick injuries. Each catheter is made from BD Vialon catheter material, which softens once in the vein to enhance patient comfort and extend dwell time.
Available in three sizes to accommodate a range of clinical scenarios:
