Bard 153509 Drainage Bag Overview
The Bard Drainage Bag 4000mL , also referred to as a Night Bedside Drain Bag, has a rounded teardrop shape to assist with easy draining. The drainage bag connects with a male external catheter or a foley catheter when a patient is recovering from surgery. It also is used regularly to collect urine when an individual has urinary incontinence due to spinal cord injury or physical disability. The Bard Drain Bag comes with a double hook hanger to hang at the foot of the bed. It's placed at a lower elevation than the patient to be more comfortable for the patient and allow gravity to assist with drainage. The double hook hanger easily hangs to a wheelchair or walker.
The Bard 4000mL Urinary Drainage Bag is bacteriostatic to lower the risk of urinary tract infection occurrences. Bard's EZ-LOK sampling port creates safe and needle-free sampling for urine testing.
What Is the Anti-Reflux Valve Chamber?
The anti-reflux valve chamber keeps the bag sanitary by ensuring urine doesn't backflow into the drainage tube.
