Aquaflush Stoma Stopper - 8, 10, 12, 14 Fr

The MTG Aquaflush Stoma Stopper is a patented silicone seal placed over the stoma to maintain the site at various locations of the body. This ostomy cover prevents leakage and reduces the possibility of stoma stenosis. Every stoma is shaped differently and that's why there are a variety of diameters to ensure a proper seal. Choose from 8, 10, 12, and 14 French gauge sizes that all have a 100 mm length. The adjustable length is trimmable, preferably with sterile scissors, using the convenient preformed severance points placed every 10 mm. This creates a reliable visual cutting guide every time.

The exposed top of the ACE Stoma Stopper is a 15 mm chamfered circular skin disc with a small peel-up tab to facilitate easy removal. The circular stopper cap sits low against the body for a proper seal and makes it virtually undetectable underneath clothing.

MTG uses medical implant-grade silicone that's been tested to be safe for sensitive body tissue. The silicone is hypoallergenic and latex-free and resists bacterial growth so it can be reused for a maximum of 30 days. Each stopper is packaged sterile with an Aquaflush hydrocolloid dressing (AFD1) which is used to secure the stopper and add a hygienic cover for up to 24 hours.

Instructions for ACE Stoma Stopper

Using sterile scissors, cut to the desired length. Lubricate the end with a water-base lubricant for easier insertion. Insert the stopper into the tract. Wipe off any lubricant on the surface. Peel open dressing and cover stopper. Hold for 30 seconds to ensure the seal. Each time the stopper is reinserted, clean with soap and water. The dressing is used for up to 24 hours and is not reusable. Apply a new dressing each time the stoma stopper is reinserted.
