Mckesson Povidone-Iodine Swabsticks perform as a topical antiseptic and germicide to prepare the skin prior to surgery or injection. These pre-packaged, swabsticks are similar tomedline's sterile swabsticks and help to prevent the risk of skin infection in minor cuts, scrapes and burns. Mckesson 4 inch Impregnated Swabsticks are fully saturated in 10% Povidone Iodine, equivalent to 1% titrable iodine in weight. Iodine is proven to kill bacteria, fungi, viruses, protozoa and yeast. These saturated swabsticks come individually packaged in easy-to-open, sinlge-use foil-laminated pouches. The contents of each packet is terminally sterilized, ensuring that both the solution and the applicator are sterile and free of contaminates. This product is largely non-irritating to skin, wounds or mucous membranes. It is also Largely non-staining to skin or natural fabrics.
