Abbott Afinion HbA1c Test Cartridges, formerly known as Alere Afinion HbA1c Test Kit for the AS100, simplifies testing of glucose levels of hemoglobin. This HbA1c diabetes test cartridge requires no shaking to mix blood and reagents. Just place your sample collector in the slot and click the cartridge into place in the Afinion 2 and press start. Your analyses will be ready in 3 minutes, giving you an immediate point of care result for monitoring glycemic control.

The HbA1c cartridge uses a sample size of 1.5 L and measure a range of 4 - 15% HvA1c. They eliminate skewed readings caused by Hb variants.When stored properly in a refrigerator, the sealed cartridge is stable until the expiration date stamped into the carton. Once removed from the refrigerator, a cartridge can be kept in its unopened foil bag for up to three months as long as the pouch has not been opened.
