This provides clinicians with all the necessary tools specifically to perform an ear or eye exam. The set of tools are nestled inside a convenient hard case that provides proper storage to be ready when needed.
The ADC Pocket Otoscope Ophthalmoscope Diagnostic Set is made by American Diagnostic Corporation to maximize performance. The handheld ophthalmoscope and otoscope is ambidextrous and the battery handles interchanges between both devices to power and illuminates both devices. The Pocket Otoscope Ophthalmoscope set features a 2.5v halogen light source which creates true color viewing. The fiber optics adds cool light transmission to be comfortable for the patients. As a halogen light, it also adds longer lamp life. The head is durably made from thermoplastic polymid to be impact resistant in case it is accidentally dropped.
The ophthalmoscope attachment has viewing optics to illuminate structures of the eye to examine the retina, blood vessels, optic nerve, and media which includes the cornea, aqueous, lens and vitreous. The Otoscope attachment illuminates the ear canal and tympanic membrane and also has a magnifying system with 19 viewing lenses from -20 to +20 diopters. It comes with five of each size of disposable speculas by Welch Allyn.
It is very important to sterilize the device with isopropyl alcohol that's 70 percent solution and a lint-free cloth. After cleaning, always inspect the ADC Pocket Otoscope Ophthalmoscope Set to make sure there isn't any solution residue or it may decrease the performance of the magnifying lens. Sterilize again if contents have been unused for a period of time listed in the user manual.
