Adaptic Touch Non-Adhering 8 x 12 Inch Silicone Dressing (Systagenix 500504) is a primary dressing to be used for wounds with heavy exudate and for any thickness. The non-adherent dressing is transparent to make it easy to check on the healing process of the wound without removal and can be used for several days before changing, depending on the level of exudate. This reduces the amount of trauma inflicted on the wound and allows healing to take place more quickly. When it is time for a dressing change, the silicone coated dressing does not stick to the wound, minimizes any tearing and pain inflicted during the change, making it easy on both patient and caregiver.

Adaptic Touch 8 x 12 Inch Dressing with Non-Adhering Silicone may not stick to wounds, however, it does stay in place during application, further facilitating dressing changes. It does not move while applying gauze or other secondary dressing. The open mesh design makes it easy for exudate to be removed from the wound and absorbed into the secondary dressing. This further reduces the pooling of exudate around the wound, increasing the health of the skin around the wound. The dressing is latex free and sterile to reduce infection or rashes during use and is flexible to allow for movement as needed by the patient.
