Cavilon Advanced Skin Protectant is a new tool to fight Incontinence Associated Dermatitis (IAD) from 3M. This protectant creates an ultra thin yet durable barrier. The barrier protects the patient from body fluids such as gastric fluid or liquid stool. It is also waterproof and stretches for the most protection. This barrier lasts up to seven days to reduce the number of time reapplication is needed.
The Cavilon Protectant is does not have the same limitations as traditional pastes. Instead of a messy and painful removal, the barrier allows for gentle cleaning. It is also transparent, unlike pastes, for easy monitoring of the skin being protected. The one use applicator is easy to operate and saves you time while reducing potential of cross-contamination.
