SharpSafety Chemotherapy 18 Gallon Sharps Container is a large disposable yellow container designed to safely discard chemotherapy sharps. The bright yellow color makes it easy to identify chemotherapy waste. The round 6-inch sliding lid at the top of the container accommodates a variety of shapes and sizes of chemotherapy waste, such as ampules, syringes, and other prep materials. It can even accommodate up to 1000 mL bottles. The gasket lid provides a tight seal to be leak-resistant for hazardous fluids, with an absorbent pad inside the container to soak up fluids.
When the sharps container is ready for disposal, there is a final locking closure. The sharps container is made of 100 percent polypropylene to be durable and puncture-resistant. Additionally, this plastic material is environmentally friendly and burns clean when incinerated, emitting only carbon dioxide and water vapor.
Customers can purchase a single 18-gallon yellow sharps container or a case of five containers. The SharpSafety container design narrows at the bottom to nest and therefore takes up less space when stored.
