Shower shield works great. Had to modify it a little to fit around my trach but it was very easy to cut as needed to fit my needs. Beats the heck out of trying to cover up with a shower cap or zip lock bag!

My husband has ALS, and had a trachostomy. I am his caregiver, and use a hand shower while he is in a shower wheelchair. He uses a ventilator but is able to shower wihtout it. While he showers, we seal the opening to the trach tube with a button, but we still need need to keep the water away from the stoma (opening). The shower shield helps, but it does allow some water through, so we still need to be careful about how we aim the water.

My doctor advised me to buy this collar. It fits perfectly around my neck. I can wear it in few seconds and I don’t need any help for this. I feel extremely comfortable. The only problem is that I can not use it while swimming.

I'm a Respiratory Therapist at a hosp and saw this used the other day. Wow, I was really impresed. We don't get too many trach patients so we have nothing like this at the hosp. This patients family brought it in. Now I;m going to recomend this one to people.

It's always a problem to hide it from water while taking a shower. It does this tricky job so perfectly. I spend a lot of water for shower but my wound never got wet. it's pretty awesome. Hope you can find the convenience I have now.

This stoma shield goes on and off in seconds. So glad it does not have the tieback style. Fits perfect!
