This 2" x 2" gauze sponge is 8-ply, offering adequate padding against the wound or to prep and clean the wound of any foreign material or tissue that may cause infection. The 8-ply woven construction is ideal for packing deep wounds to produce less lint as it absorbs wound drainage. Packing the wound promotes granulation needed for an optimal wound healing environment. Dermacea USP Type VII Gauze Sponges are made from 100 percent cotton to be gentle on the skin. The gauze is packaged in individually wrapped packages to ensure sterility and prevent cross-contamination in wounds.
