What Are Portable Urinals?
Not everyone can get to a restroom in time. You may live with a condition like incontinence but still need to travel. Or, you’re caring for someone with limited mobility.
Portable urinals present a convenient and hygienic solution for emptying your bladder and catching leaks. For use at home, on the go and in clinical settings, these urine collection devices are shaped to the male (tube) or female (funnel) anatomy for use standing up or lying down. Sizes vary based on output. Bagged versions, meanwhile, save space in travel.
Models may be open to quickly dump the waste or include a secure lid to close the container until disposal.
How to Use a Portable Urinal
A portable urinal is designed to be placed over the anatomy with one hand. Urine should flow directly into the container. Once you’re done, empty the contents, or secure the urinal with the included lid or cap.
Because portable urinals are reusable, clean yours regularly, starting with dish soap and water not long after use. About once a week, sterilize the container with bleach or an autoclave.
