UpEasy Seat Assist is manufactured by Carex to provide an affordable Mobility Assistance device to assist people in sitting or rising from a sitting position. The Carex UpEasy Seat is a portable lift seat that does not require electrical power. By using a hydro-pneumatic gas spring, it is fully self-powered. The Carex UpEasy Lift Seat activates automatically as the user stands. The UpEasy Lift Seat provides lifting of up to 70% of the mobility patient’s weight.  This Lift Seat ensures a safe, gentle lift without pushing you forward. Weighing less than 8 pounds, the UpEasy Lift Seat Assist has a built-in carry handle for easy portability. The UpEasy Lifting Seat works on most armchairs or sofas.

Is it possible to use the plus seat assist on a wooden kitchen chair without arms? Most restaurants have chairs w/o arms.Why can it not be used on a recliner ?
