Trident HD Power Chair is heavy-duty electric wheelchair constructed to support 400 to 450 pounds. This motorized wheelchair is designed for patient comfort and ease of use. It's available in either a 22 (Drive 2850HD-22) or 24 (Drive 2850HD-24) inch wide seat that has a semi-reclining Captain's seat back with an adjustable headrest. The arms are padded for additional comfort and can easily be removed along with the seat using a quick-release lever. Maneuvering is smooth using the joystick with programmable controller to give a 29-inch turning radius. Its large front Drive wheels with anti-tip design also creates a smooth ride and enhances its safety and ability to handle obstacles along the way. The footplate keeps legs and feet relaxed with customized height, depth and angle adjustments. The footplate can also flip up as needed and is protected with a rubber bumper to hold up well over time.

Trident HD Power Wheelchair has a shroudless design allowing quick and easy access to its internal components and two batteries. There is a slide-out tray allowing direct access to the batteries. Drive Medical recommends owners to fully charge the battery after every trip. In a full charge it has a maximum range of 15 miles at 4 mph. You should always replace both batteries at the same time to maintain optimal performance. The power chair is also equipped with manual free wheel capability when the unit is without power. The locking mechanism in the gearbox can be disengaged to allow the wheelchair to roll with or without power. When in power mode, the joystick will automatically decelerate the wheelchair when it's returned into center position.
