Forearm Comfort Crutches Overview

Mobility Designed M+D Crutches help those with limited mobility in the legs to walk. Unlike typical crutches, the M+D Crutches use strength in the forearms rather than the underarms to help users support their weight. These crutches come with hinged arm cradles and rotatable handgrips that allow for an increased range of motion and hand use. The height of these crutches can be adjusted from 39 to 52 inches; the handle length can be adjusted between 11 to 17 inches. Additionally, the feet of the crutches are removable and shock absorbing.

The M+D Crutches, which come in a box of six, are made with long-lasting aluminum and are designed for users between 4 feet 11 inches and 6 feet 8 inches.

The Maxima 4-Wheel Scooter pairs well with the Mobility Designed crutches because they provide relief for those who have been walking all day and also aid with mobility.

How To Use M+D Innovative Forearm Crutches

After assembling the forearm crutch, put the arms onto the arm pads and underneath the armbands. Place the stronger leg onto the floor and push off the ground using the forearms and feet of the crutches. Remember to keep balanced while trying to stand. Bend the weaker leg at an angle to keep it off of the ground. Tighten the elbows close to the sides of the body, and keep the feet of the crutch wider than the width of the shoulders. Move the crutch feet forward by doing a bicep curl. Making sure the crutch feet are secure on the ground, use the strength in the forearms to lift the body forward. Practice doing this until one gets the hang of it.

Users can also unlock the cradle with a push of a button to use a cellphone or reach for something while still using the crutches. Be sure to be stable before doing so.

How To Maintain M+D Crutches

Using water and a gentle rag, wipe down the crutch. If desired, wipe down the crutch with a dry rag. Make sure the rubber feet are not damaged or in need of replacement.
