This Medical Air Bed is designed with a 2-inch foam base in case of power outage in addition to the 20 individual air bladders. The bladders fill up with air within minutes to offer an 8-inch deep air cell. The True Low Air Loss active blower provides air pressure with alternating pressure cycles to redistribute the patient's weight to prevent pressure ulcers. Using the control unit, the caregiver can select the time cycle and customize the patient's weight to get the best immersion and air distribution. Also, the pulsation setting encourages blow flow by pulsating every 15 seconds. This keeps the body properly oxygenated as another defense and promotes healing. The airflow is also essential in keeping the skin cool and comfortable.
