IV Poles

Overview

IV Poles are used in hospitals and home healthcare to conveniently hang intravenous fluids, enteral feeding liquids, and/or infusion pumps so that they're near the patients receiving care. The top of the IV pole has a hook to properly secure the fluid therapy. Some poles have up to four hooks to accommodate multiple therapies at one time. Check out Vitality Medical's wide selection of IV Poles, which includes portable IV poles on casters as well as stationary options for in-home use.

IV Pole Options

IV Poles on Casters are available in 4-leg and 5-leg styles, adding stability to the pole. The casters allow the IV pole to glide on hard surface flooring or carpet so it can be transported along with the patient. These mobile Hospital IV Stands are designed with ram horn-style hooks with 2 hooks or 4 hooks to support a variety of patient needs.

Stationary IV Poles are also referred to as IV Stands for Enteral Feeding. This IV Hanger is simplified and lightweight for home use or for home healthcare workers who travel to their patients' home to administer fluids. It has a tripod base design for stability, with the hook at the top. It can be placed on the floor or a table, and the telescoping pole adjusts to the desired height.

Wheechair IV Poles attach to a wheelchair for home or hospital use when a patient is receiving IV therapy. This allows the patient with an IV to be transported easily without having to juggle a separate IV pole. IV Poles for Wheelchairs may also come with additional attachments. The Medline IV POle with O2 Tank holds an oxygen tank if the patient uses oxygen therapy.
