Elasto-Gel 4 x 4 inch Splint and Cast Padding, manufactured by Southwest Technologies, is Padding designed to go under a splint. Unlike other cast and splint padding, the elasto-gel padding is made of hydrogel. Hydrogel has wound healing qualities and will effectively reduce the occurrence of sores developing under a cast or splint. This Splint Padding is self-adhesive so that it won't shift around inside the cast or splint.

The Padding Bandage will reduce friction and make wearing a cast more comfortable. The hydrogel material is air permeable, so that the skin will be able to breath better than with some other cast and splint pads. The Gel Padding material is sterile, so it will not cause infection. Do not allow the gel padding to get wet and only apply it to clean, dry areas of the skin.
