Hartmann 416104 Econolux™ 4 x 4 Inch Gauze Sponges 8 Ply come sterile in easy-to-peel pouches. This is to avoid contamination and provide aseptic handling. Each pouch comes with two sterile gauze sponges. It's made from 100 percent cotton that's woven with 8-ply construction to be highly absorbent for your wound care needs. It offers wicking to be used as a secondary dressing or to pack a wound. It's also commonly used to clean the wound or apply ointment. To protect the wound, the edges are tucked inside the gauze to prevent linting in the wound bed.

Hartmann also manufactures Omnifix tape to gently secure the gauze dressing.
