AQUACEL® Ag Ribbon Dressing with Strengthening Fiber 403771 by ConvaTec is designed to pack primary wounds. The flat non-woven ribbon structure makes it ideal for packing cavity wounds, tunneling wounds, abscesses and sinus cavity. Silver is impregnated into its strengthening fiber ribbon to reduce wound bacteria due to silver's antibacterial properties.

AQUACEL® Ag Ribbon Dressing has super absorbency and as it takes in wound exudate and biofilm, the dressing swells and therefore its best to only pack the wound up to 80 percent capacity to allow for ribbon expansion. The removal of biofilm reduces risk of maceration and promotes faster healing. The ribbon dressing measures .75 x 18 inches and can be cut to size. It's recommended to leave an inch outside of the wound for easier dressing changes.
