Description

Who Uses This Product? Patients with nonunion bone fractures whose doctors have recommended the device for bone regeneration treatment to begin or accelerate the healing process. Why They Love It: The CMF OL1000 Bone Regeneration Treatment is used to aid in bone growth with a simple, patient-directed system. The stimulators create a magnetic field that is comfortable to use and not noticeable during treatment to promote the body's healing process. Compared to surgery, the device is noninvasive and, according to a 2021 study, more cost effective.

CMF OL1000 Bone Growth Stimulator Overview

CMF OL1000 Bone Growth Stimulators are medical devices that produce a magnetic field over the injured area to stimulate bone growth in nonunion, or non-healing, fractures. The stimulator is lightweight and comfortable, and it easily slides over the fractured area. Adjustable straps allow for it to be tightened as needed. The device is operated by a single button, with an LCD screen for the display. It only requires 30 minutes of use per day and automatically shuts down when the session is complete so there's no chance to overdo it. Studies have shown that this noninvasive device is up to 89% effective and may result in cost savings versus immediate surgical intervention. 1, 2

How Do They Work?

This bone stimulator uses a magnetic field meant to stimulate bone growth. The magnetic field cannot be felt, so it's comfortable to use and not painful. In addition to stimulating healing in a noninvasive manner, a clinical study showed that the stimulator is more cost-effective than immediate surgical intervention while reducing extended bouts of patient pain.

Easy User-Driven Treatment

The DJO OL1000 Noninvasive Stimulator is placed on the treatment area, strapped on, and then by using the control, applies the magnetic field that helps with healing nonunion fractures, bones that won't heal. The controller itself is easy to usesimply hold down the power button until it beeps, and it will run itself and then automatically shut down when the 30 minutes are up.

Session Records Help Track Progress

The CMF from DJO has the unique feature of tracking and recording the sessions that are done for the user's personal benefit. After the stimulator turns on it, it displays two numbers: the numbers of completed sessions, and the number of times used since the first session.
