Biologistex 0711GZP Celox 8 x 8 Inch Gauze Pad helps stop bleeding. This pad is effective even when blood is thinned from medical conditions or from blood thinners. This effectiveness is due to the granules that coat the surface of the pad. They are designed to absorb the fluid of the blood, expand, stick to the other granules, and create a "pseudo-clot". This clot works so well that Celox is used by military personnel as well as EMS first responders.
Another great feature is how easy it is to remove. No debridement is necessary since it washes away with either water or saline with ease. Also, any remaining granules are safely absorbed by the body because they're bio-absorbable and bio-compatible.
