The non-adherent dressing is a protective layer that provides an extra layer of padding on the wound, as well as protecting the wound from painful dressing changes. The open mesh design allows exudate to seep through to the secondary dressing, reducing the risk of pooling and maceration of the skin. Keeping the skin healthy facilitates the healing of the wound. By pulling the exudate through the mesh, reduces granulation of the wound. This makes dressing changes less painful and traumatic.
