The Uriclak Incontinence Clamp, manufactured by Uriclak, is penis clamp that is a non-invasive and an effective incontinence control device. It simply provides a comfortable, directed squeeze to close the urethra off and prevent urine leakage. It does not require a prescription and is a good candidate that may help one avoid catheterization or need for external urinary collection bags.

The device is unique in that Uriclak does not integrate clips or clasps to secure the clamp. The incontinence clamp opens without a locking or external release mechanism. The user simply squeezes the sides of the device, creating a circular opening wide enough for the penis to be inserted. By slowly releasing the sides, the ring flattens around the penis, effectively closing off the urethra.

The Uriclak will stay in one spot after closing because of the semi circular positioning bars built into the inside of ring. They keep the clamp from rotating and hold the top of the penis in line so the bottom cushion will be appropriately raised against the urethra. To release and allow urine to flow again, one simply has to squeeze the sides and the Uriclak to open it back up and allow urine to pass through the urethra.

Uriclak uses soft medical approved material (USP class VI) made of resilient and flexible material. In addition to phenomenal flex, the clamp does not contain foam, which is sometimes problematic picking up moisture or urine prone to causing odor or foam breakdown over time.

This device features a universal design that will fit almost any anatomy. If you deem the pressure too great, though, you can use the included pins to create more space for a more comfortable fit. The larger the pin, the lower amount of pressure will be pressed against you. If you find that there is not enough pressure, you can use surgical tape to wrap around the raised area at the bottom, which will apply additional pressure to your urethra.

Who is a good candidate for the Uriclak device?

  • It is good for men who have incontinence after prostate surgery.
  • It is good for older men who may have some loss of urinary control.
  • It may work well for those who have a mental or physical disability and is supervised by another person.

Product Questions

Is there a form of metal in the inside of the Uriclak clamp? If so, will it be detected when I go through the metal detector at the airport?

Is this worn at night, or what does a man do since there is so much urination during the night? Right now, he uses an eternal catheter (Men's Liberty) all the time with a bed bag at night, and a leg bag during the day. Would this work so that he wouldn't have to use this, or is this only for leaks, and not incontinence?

Pros and Cons of Uriclak and Cunningham
Thought I'd try the Uriclak after having used the Cunningham. They both have important advantages and disadvantages. 1. Comfort: I find the Cunn. more comfortable - probably due to the thicker foam and easy adjustability; also, the Uriklamp is slightly longer (~1/4"), which I found less comfortable. 2. Adjustment: Cunn. is simpler/quicker with its notched spring/lock fastener at one end - just press until it feels comfortable and always select that notch-position each time -- but you can always easily change it; however, the Uriclak requires the relatively difficult insertion of 2 pins (1 at each end) which spreads the clamp more, and if you find that you need larger pins, you have to extract the smaller ones (they provide a pin lubricant which I found of little help). 3. Fitting/Attachment: Both are similar in difficulty/ease. The Cunn. is usually a 2-hand insertion, whereas the the Uriclak can be attached with one hand, depending upon penis ridgidity and both clamps require proper alignment relative to the uretha. 4.Urination: The Cunn. opens by releasing the clamp-end, where you simply squeeze 2 side-springs to pop it open (if it opens completely, you risk dropping it, so I usually use 2 hands. The Uriclak simply requires a one-hand squeeze -- BUT you must spread your thumb and index finger about 4" apart (the length of the clamp), then grasp it and squeeze it with considerable force AND hold it open while you urinate. 5. Removal: if/when you remove the Uriclak, you will most likely drip urine onto it, because it surrounds the penis when extracted. The Cunn. pops open and can be removed sideways without any urine contact. 6. Cleanliness: A big advantage for the Uriclak, which can be easily washed. The Cunn has dense foam (think sponge and water) so washing it takes longer (e.g., suds, rinsing, squeeze out H2O, let dry). 7.Quality: Both products are good and use "surgical quality" materials. 8. Cost: Well, you can buy 2 Cunninghams for the price of 1 Uriclak.

good product
I have a Cunningham Clamp and two Squeezers and can not use any of them. The clamp hurts too much and the Squeezer causes sores that risk infection.

I have good luck with a Uriclack clamp. I like it and it tolerates me!

Very Good
This is my first time using a penis clamp. My incontinence started after I had prostate surgery. After reading and studying up on the different clamps I chose the Uriclak clamp. I chose this clamp because is has no moving parts to break, easy to clean and easy to use. After using it for one month I like it very much. It really stop my leaking and is comfortable. The only problem I had is installing the pins to adjust to the size best suited for me. The larger the pin the harder it is to insert. The other comlpaint I see, in the future, is that the holes that the pins are inserted into are stretching out of shape getting bigger and eventually will not hold the pins in place causing them to fall out. The bigger the pin used the more stretching of the holes. But, I do rate this Uriclak clamp with 5 STARS
