Medline TenderWet Active Absorbent Gel Wound Dressing Pad is a primary dressing that is used for light to moderate dressing needs such as for shallow wounds, first and second degree burns, pressure injuries, leg or diabetic ulcers, or for surgical wounds. The wound dressing should be changed daily for the best results. This helps the dressing promote a clean and healing environment for the wound. It absorbs the exudate coming from the wound, keeping it from festering while retaining the liquid for a moist environment and better healing.

The TenderWet Active Dressing may retain liquid close to the wound, but it prevents saturation and skin breakdown with a water repellant barrier. This barrier should be on the outside of the dressing, so it is clearly and easily marked with green stripes to know which side has the barrier and should face away from the wound. Application and removal is a simple process, making it easy to change for increased hygiene of the wound.

Tenderwet Dressings contain no natural latex, making safe for users who may have allergies. As a primary dressing, it will need to be secured in place with a secondary dressing such as gauze rolls or tape. For those with skin allergies and sensitivity, the Tenderskin Hypoallergenic Paper Tape for reduced irritation. The dressing comes fully sterile to reduce the risk of infection during use and comes in three different shapes to ensure full coverage and different sizes are available as well.
