Specter ROM Standard Brace, by Jobst, is a full length knee brace that is used to stabilize and support an injured knee. This articulating brace will help the patient put weight on their injured leg (if advised by a doctor) while the knee is healing as to prevent any undue flexing and jarring that could otherwise postpone the mend.
The Specter ROM Standard Brace is designed to limit motion range for an injured knee that has had surgery. The type of surgeries could be related to ACL, PCL, MCL, and LCL surgical operations that help mend connective tissues and ligaments. Often these ligaments attach from the upper leg (femur) to right below the knee (upper tibia).
This knee support features a strong, durable hinge with snap-lock design and optional patient lock-out. The Specter Rom Standard Brace has a 7.5 degree flexion/extension setting with an integrated strap/strut design. Another feature is that it has conformable aluminum struts for varus/valgus position, or in other words, the inward and outward bend of the knees that occur with some people. The brace also has a breakdown conversion for a shorter 4-strap design.
This full-knee brace is sized for most people. It comes colored gray with black straps.
