Q. How tightly should I set the pressure of my Squeezer Klip?

A. "Our philosophy is to accept a little leakage related to "Stress Incontinence." Stress Incontinence means that you leak when you stress your body by making some special exertion such as sneezing, coughing, or lifting something heavy. We suggest that you accept a minimal amount of leakage resulting from this type of stress, and catch those drips in a safety diaper or pad. A very small baby diaper is less expensive and cushions the ends of the klip. It can be used for two days. More pressure will result in less leakage, but if the threaded adjustment screw is too tight, it can cause discomfort and swelling. Back off on the pressure and you should be OK."

Q. How can I prevent my Squeezer Klip from being noticeable, and keep it in the correct position?

A. "Wear briefs (or jockey shorts). They will keep everything snugly in place. If your klip irritates the inside of your thighs, get a knitted wrist band like you use for tennis. Stretch it out, and slip it over the klip from end to end."

Mothers use a 40% zinc ointment for a baby's rash. You may have used it or some other lotions that prevent irritation. Zinc ointment is only required if you have actual skin damage. The use of ointment during the night (when not wearing the Squeezer Klip) may be useful for healing before actual damage occurs. In the morning, simply remove it, and wash with mild soap and water."

Malem Wireless Toileting Bedwetting Alarm is used to notify a parent or caregiver when a child or bedridden adult needs to be changed. The alarm is useful to serve notice when assistance is required for toileting or a change of underpads or undergarments.

The Malem wireless alarm sensor can be attached comfortably to the body and the moisture sensor or Easy-Clip Sensor can be placed on underwear. The sensor can also be placed in a disposable diaper using the optional Flat Sensor. Once the unit detects moisture, a signal is transmitted to a battery-operated receiver, which can be placed in the parent’s room or caregivers' room or a centralized location. The receiver sounds a choice of alarm tones, music or a recorded message. In care facilities it is useful to record the patients name or room number to identify where the bed wetting has taken place.

When used for toilet training, the receiver must be placed in the child's room so that they can respond to the sound of the alarm. No sound or vibration comes from the unit worn on the body. Malem ULTIMATE Bed Side Alarm and Pad is designed for bed wetting children who do not want to wear an alarm and/or alarm sensor. The bedside alarm comes with a sensor pad that is placed under a towel or draw sheet. This sensor pad is placed under the child while they sleep. When the child begins to wet the bed, the sensor pad detects the moisture and activates the alarm to awake the child so that the child can get up and go to the bathroom.

Ultimate Bed Side Alarm is effective for children who are deep sleepers. The alarm comes with multiple alarm options to awaken a deeply sleeping child. The alarm comes equipped with 8 selectable alarm tones. Important Note: Bedside alarms are very sensitive and require ongoing adjustments to the sheet or towel that you place on top of the pad. As the temperature and humidity change, you must make adjustments to the thickness of the cloth you place on top of the mat. Sweaty skin can trigger the alarm. The use of synthetic fabrics will cause static electricity and cause the alarm to sound when dry. Natural fibers should be used for all bedding. For these reasons, most families prefer wearable alarms over bedside alarms. Alarms cannot be returned once used. We recommend using a draw sheet (i.e. fold a cotton sheet in half and tuck it under each side of the mattress) or a large towel to hold the flexible pad in place. This will keep the pad securely in place under your child. Wipe sensor pad clean with warm, soapy water and let air dry prior to reuse.
