Overview

The Baxter RAPIDFILL Connector with Red Cap is a device used for convenience by caretakers, nurses, and doctors for transferring medication, solutions, and fluids from one oral syringe to another. The adapter device allows for this function to take place and reduces the loss of medication caused by spills or having to dispense medications from one syringe into a cup and collect with another syringe. Sometimes medication is too sensitive that this cannot be the case, such as with chemotherapy drugs.

The Baxter H93842705 RAPIDFILL Connector is a non-sterile device. Any medication set for transfer would have to be stable enough to pass through the connector with the possibility of contaminants. The connector includes a red cap that secures the connection in place and reduces leaks when connected to the EXACTAMED syringe. The connector is only for oral dispenser syringes and is not compatible with Luer, or needle, syringes. Users should take into account the presence of DEHP and the non-sterile nature of the device when using it.
