Puracol Collagen Wound Dressing, manufactured by Medline, is primary wound dressing that can be used for all wound types.
Sterile wound care supplies decrease the risk of contamination to wounds. This makes sterile gauze ideal for helping to keep wounds clean. Keeping the wound clean can speed up the healing process and minimize the risk of infection. This product is very useful for absorbing high amounts of drainage from exuding wounds. This is accomplished by the material of the dressing. This material will convert to a soft gel like sheet that stays in contact with wound bed as it absorbs the exudate.
Puracol Wound Dressing is available for SALE at Vitality Medical and due to its sterility can be used on any wound. This product has an additional benefit with offering an extended wear time. Depending on the amount of drainage from the wound being treated this dressing can be left in place up to 7 days. This is product is manufactured out of 100% collagen and is latex free.
