The Primus PrimePlus 750 Pound Capacity Bed is an excellent choice to accommodate a wide range of patients, including bariatric patients. The unique design of this Electric Hospital Bed includes an adjustable frame that makes it possible to change its length and width dimensions in just seconds.
This bed is compatible with several customization features. Its adjustability and optional accessories work together to make it one of the most versatile beds on the market. And because it is so easy to use, it is a favorite among caregivers and medical workers.
Low Hospital Beds create additional comfort and safety for patients with limited mobility. This is because the lower mattress deck makes it easier to get in and out of bed. The low deck height also reduces the severity of fall injury.
The PrimePlus Hospital Bed has a low position that brings the mattress deck to just 15 3/4 inches off the ground. It can also adjust to a high deck position of 29 1/4 inches off the ground.

The PrimePlus High Capacity Bed can also adjust by length and width without the need of an extension set. The width of the bed can adjust between 39, 42 and 48 inch positions. The width adjusts by simply pushing a release button and pulling on the frame of the bed.
The length adjusts by first removing the footboard and mattress retainers. Ergonomic screw knobs release the footboard and allow it to be pulled out of the bed frame. Mattress retainers remove from the frame after releasing their retaining pins by hand. Once the footboard and mattress retainers are removed, simply pull or push on the foot end of the bed frame to adjust its length.
This Bariatric Hospital Bed comes with a patient control pendant that controls the bed's electronic functions. The bed can rise and lower at the head and at the knees, and it can convert to trendelenburg and reverse trendelenburg positions. An optional control lockout is also available for this bed.
Padded Side Rails Included
The bed frame comes with a pair of included padded side rails. The rails create additional safety for patients by reducing the risk of falling out of the bed.
They attach and remove from the bed easily, and they can also adjust to different positions. Please note that the side rails add 2 1/2 inches to the width of each side of the bed.
Headboards and Footboards
A high capacity headboard and footboard must be purchased separately with the Primus PrimePlus Bed.
The headboards and footboards that we list in the accessories section with this bed are available in either oak or mahogany. For additional head/footboard styles and colors, call us at 1-800-397-5899 for assistance. See Additional Head/Footboard Styles and Colors
Customization OptionsSee below for a list of optional accessories and upgrades that you can use to customize your Primus PrimePlus Hospital Bed. Each item is sold separately from the bed frame, except the pair of padded side rails which come included with the bed.

Side rails are sold individually (not in pairs), and they attach and remove from the bed frame using simple hand tools.

Integrated Bariatric Trapeze

Battery Backup with Mount
The battery backup ensures that the bed will still function in the event of a power outage. It is an excellent safety option for medical facilities. The battery backup comes with the hardware needed to mount it to the bed.
